Today December 3, Bill Brown, the director of The Hiding Place, came to our class to talk to the 7th graders about the movie and the ten Boom family. He told us that half way through filming there was not enough money to complete the movie. So he prayed to God for help and suddenly people stared to donate 3-4 dollars a day. Then a whopping 44 thousand people donated 12 dollars each! Not only did they get enough money to continue making the movie, but they had enough to finish it. While filming, a man came up to Corrie and asked, "Do you Know who I am." This man was one of the guards at the concentration camp that beat Corrie and her sister. The man said when the war was over he became a Christian and asked her for forgiveness. Corrie asked God to give her room in her heart to forgive this man and she took his hand and forgave him. When Corrie and Betsie were in the German camp instead of hating the guards they prayed for them. From this I have learned the love you give out is the love you get.
